Hey friend, This week I want to walk through one of my favorite passages in all of Scripture: Ephesians 6:10-18, where Paul describes the “armor of God.” This is not poetic decoration. It is the real, God-given protection every believer carries into the spiritual battle we face every single day. The Armor, Piece by Piece

Belt of Truth
holds everything together
Breastplate of Righteousness
protects your heart
Shoes of the Gospel of Peace
gives you stable footing
Shield of Faith
puts out the enemy's arrows of doubt and fear
Helmet of Salvation
protects your mind and your identity in Christ
Sword of the Spirit
God's Word, your one offensive weapon
Prayer
how you put on and use every other piece

Here is a short prayer, built straight from this passage, that you can pray over yourself each morning before your feet even hit the floor.

A Prayer To Pray
Lord, I put on the belt of truth, so keep me honest today. I put on the breastplate of righteousness, so guard my heart from condemnation. I put on the shoes of the gospel of peace, so steady my steps. I take up the shield of faith, so let it put out every doubt and fear. I put on the helmet of salvation, so protect my mind. I take up the sword of the Spirit, Your Word. And I pray at all times in the Spirit, standing firm for You. Amen.

I broke down each piece in detail, plus answered a few common questions, over on the blog.
Standing firm with you,
